I didnt keep track, but have 15 sets of horns I wonder if TWRA can compile that info. i read before $2000 per deer looked up,reckon they could go back so far with computer then a Manuel look would be involved
they can tell you back to 2000. anything before that is a paper search at $25 each. that's what i was told.
since 2000: 13 does 9 bucks
i would guess total would be somewhere between 40-50. i would like to know which deer was/will be my 50th but not willing or able to pay the money.

I keep pretty good stats. Killed my first in 2000.
I have been hunting 10 years and have killed 29 deer in 6 states: 15 bucks, 14 does (I am really proud of the balance between bucks and does).
2 in Virginia 8 in Georgia 6 in Texas 4 in Kentucky 4 in Tennessee 5 in Kansas
13 on public land, 16 on private land and no high fences
5 were bow kills (1 PSE Nova, 4 Mathews FX) 3 were taken with a .243 (Remington Model 700) 8 taken with a .30-06 (Browning A-Bolt) 8 taken with a 12 ga slug (Remington Model 870) 3 taken with a muzzleloader (Savage 10ML-II) 2 taken with a 20 ga slug (Encore Pro Hunter)
7 were taken on morning hunts 1 during the afternoon (1:30 pm) 21 during evening hunts
Ain't America great?
And yes, I am a lunatic about deer hunting.

Started hunting in about '78, first kill in '80, and killed a total of 54. Killed my first one in Washington County. It's interesing to look back at the TWRA records to see how few deer were killed back when I got started. Don't remember for sure, but it was a really low number in 1980.

I started hunting in Fall of '01 at the age of 33. I've killed 32 total, 10 bucks and 22 does, with 3 of those bucks coming this season. All kills in Montgomery and Houston Counties, TN. Most in a season was 06-07 when I killed 7, worst was 03-04 when I killed ZERO.
2 does and 1 buck with a bow, 8 does and 4 bucks with a Knight M.L. 1 doe with a Remington .270 11 does and 5 bucks with the Howa .300 WSM
I have date, time, location, sex, weight, weapon, shot distance, tracking distance, and short description of each hunt that I harvested a deer on.
Edited by Howa (12/31/09 09:57 PM) Edit Reason: I don't know how old I am. lol

Started in 1980. Killed my first in 81. I can't remember the total somewhere around 50 bucks and 10 does but I really can't wait to see DA's report..not sure he can count that high.
He hasnt been hunting as long as you think, killed tons but If I remember his 1st deer was when Tyler was born??
Tyler is 10-12 I guess?
