What lakes are you fishing? How deep are you catching them this time of year? Any what baits? Just wondering may go try it sometime.

I have fished Dale Hollow 3 times since Thanksgiving, and we were catching alot of smallies in 15-25 feet of water on a 3/4 ounce football head jig. We fished a tourney up there in mid December and came in 4th out of 42 boats using that tactic.

Shorefisherman and I have been doing pretty good on big browns on the Caney, the past 3 days producing fish between 24-27". Also, earlier we were doing well on muskies in the rivers, and I have good reports from the lake. A buddy of mine got a 43" musky that weighed just in at 30 pounds. Fattest fish I've ever seen for its size.

Dr. Dickel, I also us Rattletraps on Cherokee this time of year. I also have a lot of luck with the hump-back rebel in crawfish color.

Dude...the browns can be anywhere. Seriously...I haven't checked the far lower river, but anywhere between the dam and Stonewall has been great. Oh, and what else...big jerkbaits.

Went to the lower end of Center Hill.. Didn't catch anything but a cold. Lake was empty, not the first boat on this side of the lake.

I have actually fished more while being off for Christmas than I have deer hunted. The fish have been biting too good.
