My son shot his first buck, a 10 point, using his .243 at 2:45pm on Nov 28th of this year. We were hunting from a ground blind on the egde of a bean field in Lincoln county. After he shot his buck we decided to sit and see if anything else might walk out. At 3:15 a true monster walked out into the field in the same place the other deer had been taken by my son. I shot the deer with my Tikka .308 at 200 yds. He's a 13 pt. with a 6 inch and a 1 inch drop tine and he has been green scored a 163 plus!
These were the best deer either of us have ever had the opportunity to harvest. It was one truly great day and a memory niether of us will soon forget.
