Just wondering how the bass fishing was going down there? I plan on going down to test it out pretty soon. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. For smallmouth or largemouth it don't matter. Any help with lures would be great. Thanks in advance.

I went out to Tims ford on thursday 12-17-09 and had a pretty good day. The weather started out great. We got on a good school of crappie under a bridge early in the morning on live minnows and jigs. Later in the day the weather made a change, got cloudy and the wind picked up, the crappie moved out and I started huntin for smallies on the points. That proved to be a good move cause I completed my day with 5 nice smallmouth the biggest was about 3 pounds. I caught em on a variety of live minnows, crankbaits and soft crawfish plastics.. Not a bad trip for a cold December day!!! \:D

Sounds real good. How deep were the smallies holding? What kind and size of crankbaits? And how did you fish the plastic crawfish? Just trying to figure the lake out a little.
Thanks in advance.

I was throwing a shad pattern Bandit 200 series it has a smaller profile. I caught the smallies from about 2 foot out to near 10 foot deep. With the crawfish I would just drag it around rocky secondary points when I couldt get bit on the cranks. I was switchin from one to another pretty regular to give a different look. Not the biggest but always fun to catch!!!!
