How can a guy say " a deer could never get that big"??? Humans can hit 500,600,700 lbs!! When dealing with nature, I rarely will use the word never, because nature and animals beat to their own drummers not by what we as humans think. A 400 lb whitetail is not by any means inconceivable, rare..yes but not impossible.
