I use Yoder's myself. Great people.
Was Mr. Simon Yoder who started the operation sometime back in the 80's. He had about a dozen children and now about 70 grandchildren ---- most of whom appear to work in the family business.
I don't find them much more expensive than other processors, but have found them to be the best I've used.
You get everything back extremely well packaged, labeled, and frozen to something like 20 below zero --- that's worth some extra cost to me. Some other processors have your meat ready for pick-up just "cold" but not frozen.
They're a little out of my way to take a deer, but much prefer to spend a couple hours driving there than losing a prime hunting day to processing a deer myself. I do enjoy processing my own deer, just enjoy hunting in prime time more, so to Yoder's I go with most my deer.

Barretts Processing 5 miles north of Big Sandy. It is a long ride but worth it. You get your deer. I have been using them for several years, I use no one else when hunting in the Paris area. Prices are very reasonable.

There is another really good processor called "Kauffman's" right down the road from Yoder Bros. You go west on HWY 140 at Como. It is the highway that goes from Como to Cottage Grove. They are Amish as well and they do a very good job. You will get your deer, not someone else's. It is only a few miles from the turn at Como. They have a large variety of options.

Are there still several mennonites or Amish out west? We use to see them allot when we hunted the timber co. land in hickman co. We never seen this before and it was amazing.
Makes me think of the Tim Allen movie

Is that 140 towards Cottage Grove, or away from CG? 140 actually runs north and south in that portion of the county.
