Looks like a good day. I did not know we had yellow perch in Tn. I have now learned something new today.

Gramps, this lake and the Hiwassee are the only places I've seen them, but I spoke with a fellow whose son caught one out of the Chickamauga Dam area in Chattanooga years ago. Dunno how prevalent the population is, but I'd guess they need good cold water to flourish

I caught a lot of them in Canada while fishing for walleyes. I really thought they were a northern fish.

Looks like fun, what size is your boat? oh and in the early spring I have caught yellow perch in Kentucky lake.

there are yellow perch all over. i have caught them in ft. loudon/tellico,watts bar, melton hill, chilhowee, norris....
