Well, there are dozens of websites on the secret and not-so-secret stinky conconctions that attract carp, but I haven't really tried since I was a kid.

I fly fish for them, and it is usually much more challenging that way since there is no scent involved.

just plain old light bread wadded around the hook works as good as anything.

I've always used corn mixed with sugar.

The only problem with SMH's method, is if you're into catch and release. \:D

Not true, I catch and release them straight into a 35 gallon barrel all the time. \:D
