Isn't this a little bit like hunting and stalking? Several years
ago, I used to fish creeks with a buddy and he always wore camo.
I ask him, why do you do this, and he said.........we are not
just fishing, we are hunting also.

He said do you see how clear this creek is. I said yes, I can see
my feet and we are standing in nearly five foot of water.

He said........."I rest my case".

He is 100 percent right. I also wear a camo shirt while wading the creeks.

Seriously I try to wear natural colors.

Bowriter, just think how many fish you could have caught without that red hat on. ;\)

Just tell me this: What are you trying to blend in with? How do you mask the motion of casting? How do you know what a fish sees and how does it react?

Craziest dam thing I ever heard.

Maybe the trees over hanging the bank or the vegatation on the
bank. I guess it might be "crazy", but you know what?.........
sometimes "crazy" things work. Whether you believe they do....
or not.

As far as the "motion of casting" goes, maybe one might be
drifting a black sucker minnow, a craw fish, or maybe even a big
hellgramite.

I wear subdued colors, but I also try to cast as far away as I can in gin clear shallow water. I suppose if you do that, flame orange probably wouldn't matter.
