Built off the old bullet molds you may be out of luck. Most all those boats walked badly. The one I fish out of is an older model out of those molds. I have had good luck coming out of the hole and once on pad slowly triming it up. The boat does not walk with me. My partner will hammer down and trim up quick and can't hold the thing on the water. He asks me all the time why the difference. I won't tell him.

I've owned several bullets myself from 17 ft to 21 ft. Dickel gave you good advice. Most can be improved greatly when set up properly, and you can drive most any of them out of it with some experience, but fighting one all the time will wear you out, especially on long runs.

Glad you figured it out.Had a Gambler that would chime at 70 and no matter what you did it could not be corrected.Took 2 curved trim tabs{measured about 2 by 4 in aluminum} that can be mounted to the lower unit of motor to fight torque pull and mounted them on the last steps of the hull, the steps the boat rides on at high speeds--70 to 95 miles an hour. You can mount them with marine tex epoxy. No chime at any speed.
