Is anyone out there fishing below Watts Bar for cats or stripers? If so are you seeing any threadfin shad and how'w the fishin' Wanting to go on Monday and don't know if I should take shad from my usual hole or just plan on catching them down there.

i see you're from anderson co. if your usual hole is melton hill, the last 3 trips have resulted in ZERO threadfins.
i have no idea about watts bar.

Yea, my usual hole is Melton Hill. All I have been getting are gizzards. Although the one's I am getting are small. I won't fish with the big gizzards but have had pretty good luck with the smaller ones and they are plentiful. Have you been finding any threadfins anywhere?

they are schooled up in the lakes already. saw a big school under the hwy 70 bridge in kingston today.

Thanks, If I could find some good threadfin I know what comes next. BIG ROCKS. I am still catchin on gizzards but I don't have as much confidence and I am seeing noticibly smaller fish.
