Found some stripers in a new spot over the weekend. Caught over 50 fish in 2 trips. Only got pics of 2 (the only 2 I killed) one of them is 25 lbs.

I had just finished playing softball. One more fish to go to my cousin's stringer he's wanting to do a mount of.

Ditto. Never done it but it looks like fun.

We may have had our differences in the past, but those are some awesome fish man.

BigJ, I basically "roam" the cumberland river. I fish mostly at night and throw redfins, jumpin minnows, large sluggos (that I pour myself), hogy's, and large waking swimbaits. The redfin is my go to but not the only thing that works. I spend more money than I should in gas but when I find fish it is worth it.
It is fairly easy on Priest (I hear that Cherokee is on fire doing the same thing right now) in April and May, I go out at midnight and throw 5" redfins, jumping minnows or a cork and fluke (the most consistent is the cork and fluke) and fish right against the bank. I mean if you are further than 10 ft from the edge of the water then you may as well not fish. You can catch hybrids on Priest on almost every cast many nights doing this. The way I find them is to cover as much shoreline as I can in a single night.

I do not know much about this, but right now I believe if you can find them on Priest they will be in 10'-20' of water and live bait, bluegills, are the ticket.

I did catch a smallmouth this year that just over 6 lbs. Should have mounted him but let him go. About 2 weeks ago, on Priest I caught just over 20 largemouth with 7 of them weighing between 4 to 5-1/2 lbs on a citrus bandit 700. It was fun, but nothing like the stripers on top.

I use to do almost nothing but bass fish, as a matter of fact if I caught a hybrid or a striper I would kill it and either toss it or give it away and now they are what I mainly fish for, funny how things change.
