It was 8 inches long. I think it is a Green Sunfish but I have never seen one that big. My daughter caught it on Old Hickory and was hoping it might be a TARP fish.

Probably a hybrid between a green and another sunfish. Greens are notorious for hybridization.

Not a warmouth - not speckled enough. Should be more mottled like a crappie.

Tooth patch? (touch your finger inside of its mouth, feel where a tongue would be and feel either or smooth or sandpaper).

Most of the swamp warmouths that I have seen are usually a little browner, and not as green as that one, but that's what it is.
