I'm not trying to get in on your spots or anything, but was it on deep structure?

You've been killing them at KY Lake this year it seems!

River ledges. They are on fire and gettin' better by the day.

Bobby Lane had 24-9 today and said he caught the whole 24-9 in his first 8 casts on a ledge. Said he's only fished maybe 2 hrs in the first 2 days of the tourney. Just defended his hole pretty much.

Guess that's something I need to get better at. Need good electronics, I would imagine.

I can't remember the last bass I caught on a buzzbait. That's fun stuff. Thanks for sharing.

It's really as simple as finding the right size shad and figuring out feeding times. Sounds alot easier than it really is though. You can literally sit on fish all day and not know it and in 15 minutes have 5lbers crawlin in the boat. Then they turn off as quick as they turn on. If you drift or troll a ledge and catch a good fish at all, you can just about bet that there are many, many more that same size very close by. Although they sometimes mix with smaller fish they for the most part school by size and age. From my experience on KY lake, especially in the summer, you'll find 2-3lb schools and 4-6lb schools with an occaisonal 7lber. I haven't been so fortunate to find fish bigger than that schooled up. Any fish I've caught bigger than that have been loners.

Fully understanding the sonar is something I really need to do myself. Thank goodness I'm not fishing deep clear stuff or I'd be hoeing a garden or something while deer season was closed. \:\)

Lol! I appreciate the insight, my friend. Maybe I can get out and try it here soon.
