Not sure if this has been posted or not. But I feel this is out of line. I know we all all forms of civil service folks on here and commend all. I am an EMT and what makes this even worse is the fact that there was a patient on board. There a several other interviews on the page you can click on once you open this link up.

Not enough info to make a judgement call when not there.
With what info was provided, if at all possible, should have been handled better due to patient involved in transport.

A state trooper pulls over an ambulance on an emergency run to the hospital? Either this is a trooper that needs a boot up his behind, or we're not being told the whole story...

Sickening. I still don't see how the scum get away with it on a daily basis. It's a "system", and it's as crooked as crooked gets.

That's not gonna end well. That trooper will think about that when he's laying there wondering what's taking the ambulance so long to get there!!

Fellows, there IS a lot MORE to this story than what is posted. I read some of the same on TnGunOwners.com and followed a link that was posted there to a forum for LEO's and EMT's to "chat". There were "official" reports posted with what happened. There was something that led up to the altercation but at the time was not disclosed.....

The ambulance should have never pulled over. Have dispatch let highway patrol know they are loaded and to meet at hospital. Have supervisor or owner meet at hospital if possible.

That's what I would have thought. Regardless of what was going on with that EMT and the cops.

The "guys" (EMT's & LEO's) on the forum were saying ambulance has the right of way over a leo unless leo is responding to secure the scene. In this case the ambulance was NOT running code at the time. The leo had responded to a call from a fellow leo for help and then was "signal 9'ed" and turned around to go back after the ambulance.
If it's allowed, I will post links to the other forums so you can read the story for better info.

Something is up, no doubt. You don't resist like that and NOT go to jail. Does anyone know if they have arrested the EMT yet? If it was cut and dry, wouldn't he already be in cuffs? Seems as if Barney and his gang are a little scared to go in with guns blazing on this one.
The EMT should have allowed himself to be arrested, and THEN have the officer staring down the eye of a felony charge.

Seriously Rutman, with all due respect ( I really mean that ), I don't think it really matters what happened leading up to the "attempted arrest". The most important FACT is that an emergency vehicle was stopped in an emergency situation, a person in distress in the back, and instead of an escort to the hospital, this pitiful excuse for a public servant wants to have it out with the EMTs? People who approve of this behavior and defend the police in this instance are difficult for me to comprehend. Too much of it goes on because WE let it.

I would equate this to stopping a police officer for speeding while in pursuit of a vehicle. common sense tells you the officer is going to speed. An EMS vehicle should not be stopped while in route to a hospital or an emergency.

Seriously Rutman, with all due respect ( I really mean that ), I don't think it really matters what happened leading up to the "attempted arrest". People who approve of this behavior and defend the police in this instance are difficult for me to comprehend. Too much of it goes on because WE let it.
A lot of it does go on, but a lot of it does not also and is overblown by those who were not there, are not there or do not know.
Just more involved in it than what is on the surface.
I never condoned ANY activity unlawful or is complete disrespect of the badge and what the job was meant for.
I was reprimanded, suspended, fired once and screwed over a second time because of this.
I still did my job, loved it and gave all I had and was recognized for that as well by those like me.
In the end, I was retired on disability due to an injury in a 7 on 1, then 7 on 2 fight in a call for help from one of my officers who got jumped at a motel .
We won the fight, they went to jail, I went to doc 3 days later, had surgery 1 1/2 months later and was retired 27 months later.
That injury and all it has cost me me and caused me in pain and suffering plus all the bs I took has never changed my mind or view on Law Enforcement.
Why, because it was NEVER about me at any time.
There ARE those just like me out there, a lot more. Just like there are more law abiding hunters than poachers.
I stated if at all possible, he should have allowed it to continue.
I was not there and do not know the specifics and will not judge on what little I know about a certain incident.
When you call them scum, Barney, etc...., you may be talking to only those who have earned that, but you are disrespecting a profession of a lot more just like me.
Think of those like me and what I went through, the many who may read those words who lost loved ones in line of duty and so on.
You only see a small fraction of what is really there, just as the media only shows a small fraction of what really happens in Iraq or Afghanistan.
SMH, jus like in our last exchange, you never really heard or got what I was saying because of your view of cops in general.
Even though I was one and always will be, I was not and never will be one of those.
I reserve my judgement and thoughts to what I know, not what I think.
Those who know me would paint a picture way opposite of what you perceived me to be.
I would ask you to replace scum and barney with a name and reserve judgement somewhat until you know all the facts.
This separates the good from the bad and there are more good than bad OVERALL.
Just wanted to add, a lot of judegments come from personal experiences with a certain cop, but even then, what you see at that time may not be who that cop is.
Cops are human and cary emotions just like others and sometimes it spills over.
Example on me: Left child abuse scene, very emotional, next interface with citizen didn't go well, complaint filed, verbal reprimand followed.
Was I a jerk and total butthole, pretty close I guess, is that me 99% of time ,,,,,,no.
WILL that citizen ever view/judge me in a different light,,,,,very doubtful.
I was wrong, no excuse, BUT I am not what it appeared I was.
That however will not change that citizens tarnished view of law enforcement.
Know first for absolute sure, then judge only the one of those for that instance.
Take care.
