I made 4 last week. I cut some rope which was about the same diameter as the hole in the noodle. I tied a knot in one end then I tied a knot on the other end along with a 6" steel leader. I made my own leader with some 25lb test and tied a 2/0 circle hook on one end and tied the other end to the leader. I made mine about 24" to 36". I put some shiners on them or small fresh cut shad fillets. Cat have been biting real good around rocks and some good bass have been hitting the shiners. I made the mistake of throwing a couple out while me and a couple friends fished with poles close by. The noodles got fish much quicker than expected and we spent most of our time retrieving noodles instead of fishing with poles. Either way we had fun.
Good Luck.

Duck, when you say noodle, what are you referring to? This old Yankee ain't understanding but it sure sounds like fun.

I made mine using the foam noodles, I cut mine at 1ft long, then I got some thin twine and run thru the middle of the noodle. I used 10ft of rope with my hooks 1ft. from each other, I also used a big sink to stick in one side of the noodle. So I can just throw it out as we troll down the bank and the sinker with make the line unwind from the noodle.

I also made me a T handled hook to reach out and grab the line. I've been dumb and cut my fingers down to the bone by just reaching out and grabbing the line. Dumb mistake.
