Had action from some nice browns, but the only picture worthy fish of the day was caught by Nakayah, 30" rockfish. Not a giant, but on that trout tackle...it was freakin' epic. Congrats on her biggest fish! I think we can beat that though...

...I'm not going to say anything about the brown until it's in my hands...

Couple of ways to look at that.

Only one that counts, though.

HAHAHAHAHA oh bowriter...

...you remind me of this guy who used to sit outside the Hollister store "reading his newspaper" at the mall back home when I was in high school. Looked like Mr. Phoeney from Boy Meets World...oh wait, I forgot who I'm talking to.

...seriously guys, she might read this. C'mon now...

btw, we kept the fish but then decided to give it away to a guy at the ramp whom I think was literally fishing for dinner. Guy sounded like Tom Hanks in that airport movie, and he kept saying "My vife...neverl buhleef dis..." Priceless.

I notice also how the guys that are usually slamming me don't even have the good decency to throw up congrats to a person who caught a nice fish who HAPPENED to be in the boat with me. Real classy guys. Shows alot of character.

I was thinking about congratulating someone for landing a catch way beyond anything they deserved, but it wasn't the person in the boat with you.

haha, no Bd. We're just friends. Really good friends. But she is one heck of a fisherman.

If it were the case though, I wouldn't argue it man.

And that remark wasn't even aimed in your direction BD. You're a class act. I hate your ideals about fishing...but that's nothing personal.

I also want to take this opportunity to say I don't think we would've gotten that fish in on that tackle had it not been an Abu Garcia reel using the carbon matrix drag. A smooth pull, no stop-go release crap. 6-8 pound test, I forget and it got in a tree for a sec. But I know if it had been able to use that tension of most drags against it, it would've failed. The reel was an Abu Garcia prototype reel never really released to the public, an 801i, but the reel itself is now incarnated in the Soron models, of which I own the next size up, and the one I'd recommend for guys going after browns on conventional tackle. It'll take on all comers. The smallest one they have. And it whooped that striper and has taken on several nice browns since coming back. Not a bad salespitch I'd say. I don't get royalties or anything but just though I'd plug it. The extra change for the more advanced drag systems are worth it.

Bd,
Me too. That's why I sing and play piano. It was just fun in high school and paid some bills, ironically.

Although I dare say you've never even heard a good player? But oh well...it's still an acquired taste...one that I lost a while back.

God it just hit me...how GREAT it is to be back! *throws up hat, frame freezes...logo up*

More like Jamie Foxx, Stevie Wonder, and Billy Joel...oh wait, I hate Billy Joel...

...um um....HARRY CONNICK, JR!...whew, nice save.

Seriously, dude...hate on me. Don't hate on spoonpluggers. I know a few of those guys. I may not be that great an angler. Some of those guys could outfish Flipper. Seriously...22 muskies in a day? On a LAKE, not some creek? Up to 46"? I watched him do that. Don't be a moron and try to downplay results. Seriously...make fun of me all you want. You got no room to smash the system. Frank Hamill is a spoonplugger from Chattanooga who fishes Pickwick and has two 9 pound smallmouths to his name. A couple of hte guys in the Chattanooga club have figured out hte Florida strain bass in Chickamauga. I've seen the 14 pound bass pics with several over ten. Don't be a fool man...

Bowriter,
Actually, if I like anything with tuba, I like a few orchestral excerpts that kick [censored] and few film score narratives...um mosto f hte solo literature blows, but brass band parts are sweet. It is SO funny you know that song, bow. How the HELL do you know that song? Hahaha....I think it's totally lame though. There is a new group called Youngblood Brass Band that has a sousaphone player in it, and they do a bunch of original tunes and some Stevie covers and stuff. He's amazing, and can do all this multiphonics stuff just ridiculosuly. I can do it, but man he's just crazy. He has a solo track called "The Warrior Comes out ot Play" where he just freestyles for like 6 minutes on a groove.
