I just recently caught the best bass I've ever caught. It was landed in a private pond so I put it back to give somebody else the chance to have a great experience.

I've been researching information on replica mounts and wondered if anybody knew of or could recommend a person that did this kind of work.

The only bad part is the battery on our scale was dead so I have no idea the weight of the fish.

Try these guys. They do great work, but it is pricey. $199 up to 15". 16+" is $13.50 an inch.

I'd wait man. You'll beat that, probably sooner than you'd think. And mounts aren't cheap.

Good advice, you should catch many that size in the future, hold off, you'll be glad you did! Congrats on a pretty fish btw!!

Had some luck last night and caught and released one a little bigger. This one hit the scales at 6.1 pounds

Great fish and congrats to ya! Here is some maybe useful info for the future. What a taxidermist will need is length in girth in a couple of places, rough weight if you have it, total length and as many quality pictures as you can get from as many angles as possible. I never did have it done because it was very expensive and I've learned from past experince that Old Hickory and Priest hold many fish much larger than the 6 1/2 pounder that almost made me do it.
