The boys had a ball catching some ol Stripers Saturday morning. I took them to Cherokee and let them catch em on topwater until their arms were wore out from reeling them in. They talked me in to bringing a few home so they could show them off to their Papaw and some friends!! lol

Did you catch them on the lower end, Scott? I have been seeing several people trolling for them up river, but have not seen them catch much.

Yeah DD, we caught them down around pt 8 and Panther creek, caught them on top. I've been up there catching Smallmouth and its getting to where the stripes are hard to keep beat off so you can Bass fish. We have been catching some good loads of Brownies however, a lot of 4 lb and better Smallies! I think you know how we have been catching them! ;\) I wish I had time to fish some tournaments but my boys wont stay at home! lol I wouldnt have it any other way!!! I think 13 lbs won a 3 fish tournament up there Sat. and all I can say is we could have walked that one!!! \:\)

Yea, I am pretty sure I know the bait of choice ;\) . Ain't it a ball!!? My youngest is eat up with it at the moment (12 YO)....been smoking the green trout up river all spring and winter. Ball and life in general put me in tourney retirement about 3 years ago and can't say that I miss it. I like to do it on my terms now . I Would like to get him in on some of that action there, but it just ain't happening with that species on our end. I got a camper set up permanently near the Church, so we normally stay above the Berry Farm.

I need to get him down there and get some of that action. Catch their arse.......great pics!

Dadgum Scott, that sounds like fun. Never caught any of those before. I bet it's a blast on topwater.
