1 good thing about a private charter is if 1 of the family gets sick they will turn back & let them get off the boat, your just going to suffer it out on a party boat \:\) ,bigger more desirable fish can be had on a private charter vs a party boat bu t you pay for it,hope you have a great time mike243

The problem is that red snapper wont be in season at that time but the grouper should be biting good. They catch a lot of nice trout wade fishing around Dauphin Island and at the mouth of the passes during May.

Getaway Charters. Capt. Don Mcpherson. He will get you plenty of other fish besides red snapper. You will catch beeliners, grouper, amberjack, etc. I'll be going down on the 22nd. Be sure to take some gear with you, the pier should be open at the first of the month, and the fishing should be starting to pick up around it.

Dead on man. Capt. Don is one of the best. My family has gone with them the last few years and plan on going again at the end of May. It is an excellent time and if at all possible you should try your best to go with them. His deck hand Gil is also one of the best and works really good with families and kids if thats the case. You are sure to come home with a boat full of fish and have the time of your life. I'll end this now, but I just can't say enough about them and my whole family would agree.
