Bored.................so I got out in the garage and started nailing, screwing $;\)$ and drilling and this is what I ended up with. Fill the Mason jar with corn or peanuts and watch those crazy tree rats tear it up!

my version...

2 1/2 inch pvc with a y at the bottom with a stopper at the bottom....

Will hold around 10 pounds of corn.

I have always heard that peanuts would kill a squirrel.

I know we put some out along the rail of my dad's deck and they wouldn't touch them.

Found this on another site...

Peanuts are actually not good for squirrels, particularly raw ones, which can be actively unhealthy (due to an enzyme that is denatured by roasting). Of course, the squirrels love them anyway, and getting a few in their diet won't hurt them. Just don't leave out peanuts for the squirrels to find all the time.

When asked if it would kill them he replied with....

No, raw peanuts probably won't kill them. They will interfere with their protein metabolism and make them look scroungy. Just what you want--a bunch of mangy-looking malnourished squirrels running around.
