We haven't fished it in 15 yrs but used to be pretty good back then. My dad fished it alot 20-25 years ago and always did well with soft plastics and spinnerbaits. The water was pretty clear back then from what I remember.

I heard a few years ago they were having tournaments during the summer time, don't know what that may have done to the fishing?

Good luck!

Take you a small zoom trick worm made in the color junebug or anytihng dark blue. Texas rig it with a 1/8th once bullet weight. I killed them like that this time of the year last year.

No more than 7 pound line.
Work deep the same way but carolina rigged. White spinnerbaits are the ticket also.

Turn your caps lock of goober, we can hear you.

Get some crickets if you want to catch bluegill. There are some huge bluegill in there. You will find them out in deeper water away from the bank.

I've done real well on bass there using a 4" Zoom Dead Ringer in Green Pumpkin rigged on a 1/8 oz Slider Head. The water is clear and I never use anything over 6 lb test there. Although with all of the rain we've had lately it will probably have some color to it.

I haven't fished it in many years but my grandson and I are going up there after some of the monster bluegill that are in the lake. One of the 2 State record 3 pound bluegill came out of that lake. The water is still very clear and one of my friends was up there 2 weeks ago and did very very well. Don't forget to stop and get your park permit to fish the lake though. If you take a trolling motor and a battery, you can rent a boat and get to some really good places. They won't let you put a private boat on the lake though. You used to be able to call up there and talk to the guys at boat rental and they could tell you how the fishing was.

If you can hit it at the right time, FCF'S is a great little fishing spot. I use rapala's, and spinner baits...

My nephew caught a monster blue gil up there last year.. Try fishing close to the bridge.
