I probably wont get that many responses, givin the time table that I have (my stupidity), but I have a bass tournament tomorrow morning on Old Hickory and any updates would be greatly appreciated!

Any clues or hints on where the fish are? deep, shallow, flats, grass, drop-offs, structure, rip-rap?

What are they being caught on? spinnerbaits, rattle traps, lizards, crankbaits, jigs, flukes? (color?)

Thanks

Sun this afternoon, Sun tomorrow, slightly muddy water, just a touch high so I would fish the backs of creeks and focus shallow with rattle traps, Bandit 100's, Zoom Super Fluke salt & pepper and spinnerbaits. I was last out there last Thursday evening and the water was high, muddy and lots of stuff floating in the channel and we have since had rain so watch out.
Last week water temps were at 54 and the crappie were in shallow but not the bass. My money would be to stay in the mid-lake area, 109 bridge down to Drakes, hit Station Camp, Spencer, Douglas Bend, Cedar Creek, Bluegrass and Drakes. Oh what the heck, go anywhere shallow they are probably jumping in boats. What do I know, I have to work Friday.

Thanks Buccaneer. We are putting in at Saundersville Rd. We fish Station Camp, Spencer, and Cedar creeks quite often. I havent been on Old Hiskory yet this year, so I know nothing about it's conditions and whats catchin' em. But I was thinking the same thing. The sun today hopefully will warm the water up a little bit. 60 would be ideal (if we are lucky). Already got 2 rattle traps tied on. One chrome-blue, and one crawfish (orange). Also a white fluke, several spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and a worm. We plan on starting out with crankbaits. Might make a few casts with a pop-R for topwater right at light (just to see) \:\)

Don't forget to pitch a jig. I know that there have been some pretty good fish caught there on a jig the last few weeks. Had a buddy win a BFL there on a jig a few weeks ago.

Most of them were caught shallow around grass and docks in the mid lake area.

What's the word? I skipped out of work around 3:00 today and launched at Avondale. What a great afternoon. Still lots of floating wood in the channel and the water is stained, but I got caught up in crappie fishing and ended up with some good slabs. A guy at the ramp was pulling out and had 28, biggest one 15" and the rest 14" and 13", all huge slabs. The 15" fish was amazing! He caught them in 5' to 20' of water. I found them in 4' to 8' using a tube jig.
Tomorrow should be a good one.

Well, we caught a few bass. Only about 10 or so. We only had one keeper, which was quite frustrating. We caught all of them on rattle traps and crankbaits There was a boat that beat us to our spot. They sat there on it ALL day and did not move. They had 5 keepers and placed 6th I think...that was also kinda frustrating.

BUT hey!....They had a "rough fish" pot. I lucked out and caught a 4.45 pound drum! Thought he was a good bass for about 5 seconds, then I knew he wasnt fighting quite right to be a bass. Ugly looking thing, but it won me $215.00!!! I never thought an ugly and dissapointing fish like that would be worth so much money, but it sure was! Me and my partner (cousin) also each wone door prizes. We had a fairly lucky day! It was a good time and a very beautiful day to be out on the lake!
