This was in the Daily News Journal today.

"There was a tournament held on Guntersville this past weekend it was the B.I.T.E. (Bass Information from Tournament Entries) tournament where 32 pounds was the winning stringer. And there were 10 limit stringers of bass taken in this tournament that totaled more than 20 pounds.

Reports that I received are that the fish were taken on the big jig and spinner baits as well as vibrating baits and jerk baits."

Sounds like it's pretty hot down there.

Was there two weeks ago.

Spawn is probably about over there.

Find grass near deep banks in bends and you'll find fish.

Tournament I fished had one point that produced 70 keeper fish in one day. Three guys caught their limit there.

Try Preston Creek also. Go under the causeway if you can. Lots of damage there from a tornado last week but if you can get under the causeway, throw a 3/8oz white double willow leaf spinnerbait.

We absolutely murdered fish in there one time in mid April. Both of us would have weighed in over 20lbs had we been in a tournament.
