I know that there was another thread about kentucky lake last week or so, but I just wanted a more updated report on the bass fishing. It seems as though they were really hot a week or so ago and everyone was slamming em.

I am thinking about hauling the boat to our cabin and trying to get out on the lake one morning (if I can bare staying out of the turkey woods \:\) )

Are they still hot?

What are they being caught on? spinner baits, flukes, jerk baits, jigs?

Thanks for any comments

Be out there next Monday before the cold snap. I'm tossin' and draggin' around 4" Senkos and pickin' up some fish as well as a few fat ones around creek mouths on Barkley.

2 weeks ago they were very aggressive. we were catchin em on white grubs with spinner jig heads (not beatle spins) in grass beds, and off of sandy points. course then the water was down a bit more than now. buddy went to the same spots agian monday and caught a few, but no where near the pace we were catching them 2 fridays ago.

I was out there the same day you were Duck. We put in at Cuba Landing. We caught about 35 fish. Most were stripe, suprisingly. We got into a school of them and had a little fun. But we still caught about 15 bass or so. 2 biggest ones were 2 1/4 and 4 1/4. Caught the majority of them on dark colored worms and lizards. The key was to find that grass. There were yellow flowers in the water all over in several coves and if you could find them, you could find the fish. Also caught several on shallow diving crank baits. Had a good time
