I'd get a plan B with more rain coming. Look for higher ground. Maybe edge of the field?

they will still work a field if water is standing as long as it is only an inch or 2 deep. Actually sometimes they like it because the bugs and seeds come to the top of the water. Still a bit early for bugs though.

agreed you should have a plan B and C just incase but heck, you should have a plan B and C even if it wasnt raining.

The 1st lesson I learned in turkey hunting, from a wise old mtn. turkey hunter, is that there are no "absolutes" when it comes to hunting turkeys. You should always have an open mind & an ability to be flexible with your thinking. Adapt & improvise are 2 words that quickly come to mind about hunting turkeys. This will be my 25th year of hunting turkeys & I look forward to adapting & improvising another Spring season. Take time to enjoy nature, God's beautiful creation. When I was younger, all I wanted to do was get a bird on the ground. Now, I tend to enjoy the total hunt, harvest or not. I am glad I have gotten to the point of my hunting career when it is not all about the harvest. For me, the harvest of a bird is just a bonus anymore. I pray you have a great hunt & enjoy your time afield. God Bless Ya & Have a GREAT day!! \:\)
