Suggestions needed for least recoil shotgun that will give best results for turkey hunting for least cost with correct choke.

New/used, just checking to see what/if I can do possibly.

Neck/shoulder injury requires as little recoil as possible.

Funds low due to the economy right now.

So just trying to get ideas.

Youth/women's model maybe ?

Single shot ?

Never turkey hunted so it is a beginners gun to best meet above needs and possibly help me achieve a goal to hunt turkeys.

Got a late start at seeking out help with hunting turkeys, but due to some great people here, that possibility has come to be.

Now trying to see what I might could get for this year and maybe next couple years to suffice and fit my needs.

Thanks for any/all help. May have to borrow one, but all info will still be beneficial.

A 20 guage wold have the less recoil, but you are going to give up distance. You could try a sims recoil pad on an auto (supposed to kick less)

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GET A MOSSBERG 835! THAT THING KICKS LIKE A MULE ON STEROIDS! Pretty Much every mossberg does they say the 935 (auto) isnt as bad though

your best bet for the least recoil would be some sort of 20 gauge semi auto. Heck now that i think about it can't say that i've ever seen one but then i've never looked.

For the cheapest possible option...My wife uses a New England Arms 20 gauge single shot with a full choke barrel. It's good to 25-30 yds max with 3" winchester supreme #5s. Still kicks pretty good but I'm sure some sort of recoil pad would be better than the hard plastic one it has on it.

A lot of people use a 20 but you could also get a crossbow to use and it won't kick at all.

Do not get a single shot.

20 guage or not those things are beasts mainly because they dont weigh a thing.

I would suggest finding a cheap 12 gauge auto or 20 guage auto and putting a sims recoil pad on it and shooting 2 3/4" shells. The auto will soak up some of the recoil. Find a $20 tru glo strut stopper choke and you are good to go.

If you cant find an auto for cheap buy a 20 pump with limbsaver recoil pad and shoot 2 3/4" shells.
