Have an opportunity to hunt close to home, but I'm limited to Bow only. What's a good Broadhead for Turks? I've got Thunderhead 100's now.

You've got thunderheads 100's now? hmmmm, thunderhead 100's then. lol

Same ones you use for deer will work fine on a turkey.
Make sure you turn your bow down.

I would use only a broadhead made for turkey.I use the Nap mechanical head that has a blunt tip which keeps the arrow from passing through the turkey! They cant fly off with the arrow in them!

I would use a mechanical with a minimum cutting area of 1 3/8. I am going to use the trophy ridge sidewinder.

My last kill was my first with a fixed blade, a Slick Trick. It worked really well.

But I can't help going back to my confidence broadheads, mechanicals. I have shot 13 with Spitfires, and I only lost one of those (I shot it in the butt and it flew too far to find it). I really think that arrow flight and shot placement are huge for such a small target.

Whatever you shoot the best with in your set-up is what you should use. For me, that's a mechanical.

Don't get too crazy. IMO, there is no reason to change anything (even your draw weight) from your deer setup.

I have a place that I can hunt that only has about ten acres on it. I cant use a shotgun but I can bow hunt it. There are turkeys gobbling all over the place on this property and around it. I saw a big tom yesterday on it and he had seven hens with him. This will be my first year using my bow hunting turkeys in the spring and I plan to only do this at this spot ( I'd use a shotgun if I could) I have no blind, but I do have a B-mobile that I think I can set up and have the big guy come in and face him giving me a shot. I'm just gonna use my mechanical broad heads I use for deer.
