I fished the Grants Sporting Goods tournament today on Chickamauga. I won't bore you with all my details on short fish and the ones that got away. I will tell you about the huge fish I saw at the weigh in. 5 fish limit. I saw 6 Large Mouth over 7 pounds, 3 Small Mouth over 5 pounds. These fish were fat and healthy.

The tournament paid 10 places. You had to weigh in right at 20LBS to even get in the money. The winning bag was 25.11. The big fish was 8.77.

The CBA Tournament on Chickamuga yesterday was won with 31 pounds.

Chaickamauga is producing some hogs this year.

I'm glad it was on over there today. We fished Tims Ford today 6:30 to 4:00. It was tough, we ended up with 3 keepers. It took 17lbs to win mostly smallies were weighed in.

So go ahead and bore me! I want to know how my fishing guide is doing on the trail to locating the bigguns!

Yep, for 2nd year in a row our little lake is producing some real quality fish. Especially for the folks that have them "dialed in." You think about most anglers who would love to catch one five-pound bass in their life... and these guys are catching five five-pound-plus fish each day. Pretty impressive!

I pulled into Chester Frost as ya'll were headed out yesterday Kirk... but as noted in other thread, we were "crappie-bound."

We just boated 14 7/8" Largemouths. HOWEVER, I know where the guys that were catching the biguns were fishing and what they were using. I love GPS waypoints! I had a big one hooked and up beside the boat and it broke off just as my partner reached in with the net. The guy I was fishing with said it had to be 22" inches long. By this time we only had a few minutes left so we had to get back to the weigh-in. I am freshly armed with new knowledge and fishing spots. \:D

I was amazed out how consistent several of them are. You read the same names week after week, and the weights are consistently north of the 20 pound mark.
