I bet you are nothing short of excited about the new bow. I know I love my blackhawk!!! nothing compares!!! I would post some pictures of mine, but I cant even figure out how...LOL. How do you like that stabilizer and sights and what kinda of rest are you shooting? I have some G5 sights, and doinker a bomb stabilizer (im not all that hot about) and a trophy taker pronghorn fall away (also not too hot about)

I have always shot a whisker biskit rest, but this bow came with the fall away. It has taken me a lot of time to get used to this. I have struggled with the arrow falling off as i drew the bow back...but I think I have got it down to only happening once or twice an outting. I actually have my pictures posted in serious hunting( I think) My bow actually has a little cable bumper on the end of the slide bar. I really dont know if this even helps it out. lol

I did install an aftermarket cable slide. I got an Alpine Mach 5 slide. It has a teflon sleeve that slides up and down the bar. I wish it had teflon where the string and cable run through, but it stll is an improvement over the factory slide.

The only negative I could find anywhere through reviews and testing online was the cam biting the cable. The first pic is the buss cable and the second is the string at the module. Parker will send another cam if it eats up the cable too much.

I got a deal on this one, plus it is noticeably faster than the Trailblazer.

UtGrad, That Parker bow is really nice looking. I think parker doesn't get the credit they deserve. I bought my son one and I enjoy shooting it.

I have the worst luck of anyone starting in archery. Parker is sending out new cams for 2008 Blackhawks that "chew" into the serving. I might as well get a new cam with Vapor Trail strings.

its a real easy fix, and parker sends out the parts asap! I ask my local shop if I needed to replace the string, and they said to just keep shooting it. Exspecially after you get it fixed. It really hasnt done enough damage to the serving to bother the cable. I have been shooting the bow without it fixed. A fella told me you could just about keeping shooting it all year and you would be fine. So, just get your parts and keep your strings if they arent in that bad of shape, cause strings are rather expensive I have noticed.

easy or not no one should have to replace parts before the string is even broke in.

na your right...but its just one of those things. Almost all the 08 models have the problem. The new 09 models dont seem to be having the same issue. Its just straigtening out the kinks. I mean, I can remember when I was younger, I bought a new 2001 Yamaha Raptor 660. Well it was the first year that yamaha made that fourwheeler, and it had problems with the starter. The motor had too much compression for the starter to work. But the next year all the kinks was ironed out. Its just a all new design that parker has made, but parker does something that yamaha didnt do for me, they actually made it right for me. My fourwheeler, it came out of my pocket and they didnt even offer to help. So you have to give them that credit.

The good thing in all of this is that Parker is making good on it by sending new cams and strings out. I can't say nothing bad about a company that goes the extra mile to fix their problems.

I have the cam on order and should be at the local shop tommorrow or Thursday. I have black and bronze Vapor Trail strings that will be here Thursday. I figured might as well have Parker replace the cam causing issues with a new one as well as new strings. Once it is all set up, I'm handling my bow with kid gloves!
