Sims Limbsaver Recoil Pads - Made of Sims shock-absorbing Navcom material . . . . . . .

Recently heard these are the best for reducing recoil.
Thinking about trying unless someone recommends something better.

Would appreciate any advise from those who are using, especially regarding which "version" to purchase:

1) Screw-In Replacement Pad
------- Are these easy to install?

2) Slip-On Pad
------- Sounds easy enough.

3) Grind-to-Fit Pad
------- Sounds time consumptive.

I have the screw-ins on my 1187, my rifle, and a muzzleloader. I absolutely love'em!

I use the R3 recoil pad by Remington
They are cheaper than Limbsaver and fit all brands of guns.
you can find them at BPS or Cabelas

I have one on my Pro-Hunter and a screw in on my Stoeger duck gun and they are great!

I have the screw-in's on all of my high-recoil guns. They are not always an exact fit, but pretty darn close. Definitely worth putting on your turkey guns and large caliber rifles. I also have them on my muzzleloaders.

Mine didn't line up either. I bought a screw in for my 835 and it was about 1/8th of an inch off. I didn't worry about it. I can't tell if it helps or not. I don't feel recoil when I am shooting at a bird and I learned a long time ago to use a lead sled when sighting in. I'll never forget shootin 3.5 's w/ my 835 trying to sight in, just about brought tears to my eyes after the 3rd shot. \:D

mine didn't line up on my 835 either. Shooting at a turkey I dont really notice the difference in the recoil. Shooting at a turkey target while patterning my gun, there's a huge difference.

I have a Sims pad on my 835 and it tames recoil quite a bit but it also lenghtens the stock. If you have short arms you may not like it.I have long arms and my stock is still to long for me!

I got the screw in for my nova. One of the best investments i've made. It really make all the diffrence. Mine was suppose to come with a screw plate that the pad was suppose to screw into. It didn't come with the package and I called Limbsavers. They sent me two screwin plates for free! No questions asked!
