Thank you Jimmy Carter. One president I have NO respect for at all. Overturned the Wild and Scenic River Act along with Howard (Sell my people for a nickel) Baker.

What really stinks is that ol carp lips Carter tauts his "Habitat for Humanity" projects in the intercity (trying to get more Democrats to vote for the Democratic party{remember, 98% of these folks vote DEMOCRATIC}), and never helped build one home in the really poor areas around Tellico, that he stole from those folks. And the jerk has the gall to write about his fishing in Argentina for big browns.

i just wanna see tellico lake drained.

anyway, there is some great striper fishing on the clinch river from one end to the other. the best bait is live shad if you can get them. be prepared, there are some VERY big fish.

It always amazes me how many people I meet who would love to see the end of Tellico Lake. It would be BIG money for the State too - the return of the Little T would be a tourism draw like TWRA has never seen before.

One thing is for sure - if someone tried to build that godawful dam today, it would never get done.

I wonder if it's too much to dream of one day talking the state into taking it down? I doubt it could happen in our lifetimes but it's never too early to start asking.

Rem270,
Sorry about the diversion. There are many hard feelings over TVA and their sell off of stolen property to Rarity. You just pushed the wrong button mentioning that name to a bunch of outdoorsmen.

If you are in the area the Clinch River from Norris Dam all the way to the Clinton bridge holds a ton of trout. You don't have to be an expert to catch them. Lite line, salmon eggs, and a small split shot will do the trick. I almost always get my limit. Watch for rising water. Generally early in the morning before they start generating is when I go. You can access right at the [censored]. Oh yea, you will need some waders too.
