Never used one, but know people that have them and they love them, the Helium LTA II that is. Which will run you about $280 I think. The Magnesium TS rods are light and around $150. I prefer the Shimano Cumara or Powell rods, you should check out Powell rods, very good rod and a steal at $140-170 depending on model.

Todd i have seven kistlers and i love them they are light and you can feel the lightest bites and the customer service is second to none. I have magnesium's and the a couple of the orginals they where around 100 bucks. Both are great rods.

Love them when throwing crankbaits. Very light and super sensitive. Threw a Kistler rod my buddy had and I loved the feel.

I've never paid them much attention.

I'm pretty heavily invested in an assortment of G Loomis rods at the time and I think they are awesome. They would have to be incredible for me to like them more than my Loomis' \:\)
