I have fished for cappie at night all my life. My uncle started me out night fishing when I was just a kid. I did not even know you could catch them during the day until I was in my early twenties. \:\)

Haven't done it some time but it is a hoot. When I lived in Texas, that's about the only way we fished for them. We had a small Coleman grill/stove that we took in the boat along with some dead meat and such and we would stay out all night.

That is also a great method for stripes and troutfish type things. Big Bird and I went to Dale H. a couple years ago and wore them out. We caught one. But we had some great burgers and fries.

Anybody ever consider trying it on the lower end of the Caney?
