For Mid-South anglers, just fyi, and it might be worth checking.
I have been getting some great reports out of Sardis and Horseshoe Lake (AR) for crappie.

Anybody else heard anything?

Thanks for sharing ... I wish I was within "striking range" of those legendary fisheries. But I do enjoy our little "hidden jewel" over here in East Tennessee.

Don't forget Arkabutla, I've caught many of big slabs from that lake as well.

I remember once years ago, I fished a bass tournament on Sardis and we kept catching huge, gigantic slab crappie all day long on spinnerbaits.

Other than one 4 lb bass first thing in the morning, we couldn't find a bass anywhere. If it had been a crappie tournament we would have cleaned up though.

Now, when I go out LOOKING for crappie, I never have a day that good. Life is not fair.
