Any of you fisherman use downriggers on some of the deep lakes, We use to have good luck up north with lake trout, salmon and walleye?

Bloodtrailer,
I have zero experiece with downriggers but I'm seriously interested in learning. I'd like to get a couple for the boat. I hear Cannon's are good. I'm also told electric is the way to go.Can you offer any advice?

They are used in Watauga Lake all year long. Lots of rainbows and Lakers are taken. As for me, its too much sitting around.
