In 4 weekends I will be leaving for Florida to hunt, then circling back through AL for their opener and finally heading to GA after years of waiting. I will be gone for 2 weeks solid chasing turkeys only to come back and have to wait 5 days to begin in NC. I have not decided if I am going to purchase a TN license or not this year to hunt here, maybe or maybe not.

Not until a week before last year, but it sounds like a good reason to leave for work early a day or two anyway. I might give it a try as if I'm not chomping at the bit enough already. If I hear one I might not be able to focus on work that day.

love hearing them turkeys gobble. that sound has been getting my blood pumping for past 10 yrs. second or third week in march is when they start acting up around the house. the weather has a lot to do with it.

That is one heck of a circuit! I wish I could do something like that. I save all my vacation for April to turkey hunt and crappie fish. Maybe some day I will do some out of state hunting.

It doesn't stop there, I then go to KY and VA during the season. I also usually go back to Miss or AR at some point as well. In years past I limited out here so fast or only had 1 tag left that without traveling my season would be cut super short.
There is tons of public land in all of the above states which is really pretty good hunting. Camp, drive, and hunt, pretty cheap all in all if you want it to be.
