It's being held on Gaston Lake in North Carolina the end of March and the first of April.

I post this because my 13 yr old son will be representing Tennessee in the 11-14 Jr. division. He won the State Tournament August 2nd at Old Hickory.

If he can pull this off he will fish somewhere in Florida for the National Championship.

I can't say enough for the TBFN. They really support the youngsters.
Wish him luck!

Sounds like a great experience ! I would have loved to be able to compete when I was a kid .
Do the kids fish out of a boat with another angler ?

Yes they fish with one of the Federation team from Tennessee. His fish will actually count towards the Big guys weight. They fish a one day "8 hrs" against kids from AL,NC,FL,KY,SC,and GA. One kid per State in his division.

That is a very good experience for the kids and a good way to get them involved in the sport .

I have to give a plug to the Tennessee B.A.S.S. Federation Nation.
They have a Cabin reserved 2 days/nights and also help with other costs involved.

We have a 12 hr drive to the Lake but I can't wait!

Thanks Friends, Thanks to all the folks in the Haywood County Bass Club for taking the time to support the youngsters. They go the extra mile to help kids compete for these opportunities.
