If you can roost a big flock of turkeys in winter time and be there when they fly down. you will probably hear sounds youve never heard before. i did it couple years back it was pretty neat. never would of thought they gobbled like that in 20 degree weather, but they did.

hey pig i am not going to ask to hunt your spot with you but if you need some help calling or want me to film i will try to get with you this season in your spot that is close to Knox.i just love being out there when they gobble.my lease is 2 hours away and after the first couple of weekends they don't gobble much.

You might catch one here or there but mainly what I've been hearing are hens raising cane with each other.

I have heard gobbles several times in late deer season but no this year. I saw more turkeys during deer season this year than I have ever seen.
When I have heard the winter gobbles, they have been a single gobble. Nothing like you hear in the morning around the opening of the season.
I miss deer season and football so much already. I can hardly wait for turkey season. I have gotten where I even like turkey hunting more than deer and I just started with the turkeys 4 years ago.
