Did the big drop in water temps afte the cold spell hurt the winter sauger fishing or did we just have a bad day?
2-3 weeks ago it was good on Douglas with water temps still at mid to upper 40s. Then the flood came and then the cold came and yesterday the bite was none. Water temp had fallen to 36.

Is the water still colored? We fish on the Cumberland. When the water is muddy, the bite gets pretty tough.

The report from cumberland this sat. was running to much water.
It had some little color but not bad. The current was impossible to feel the jig.

The wolf river was running around 22,000 cub feet per sec.
The cordel hull was running around 34,000 cub feet per sec.

I didn't here of any sauger being caught sat. not even a short fish!

It may have been better on Sun don't know! The generation looked less on sunday.

shopson I've been in AR for the past 5 days and was wondering how the water looked on the river.

Is it still up into dutch bottoms? Even if the water looks good it won't matter if it is in the bottoms. Just a thought

River and lake back down and clear. When I saw how good a shape the water was in and cloudy conditions I thought we were going to be in business. Wrong.
