What is a quality, affordable (<$100), can handle 3 1/2" mag shells and hold zero red dot scope? I don't know too much about brands other than Nikon, Simmons, Leupold, bushnell....

I cheaped out and bought a truglo couple weeks ago. it looks good and did every thing it was supposed to i rekon, but i have only shot maybe 7 shells thru it but it was hitting center every time. i thought the $ would mean it was made real cheap, but i was wrong. it seems to be put together real well.

Leupold Gilmore. I dont think they make them anymore, but sometimes you can find them on ebay for about $100.

A Tasco Propoint red-dot has be the best for me. I have had 2 PROPOINT II PDP2 in MOSSY OAK CAMO. The PROPOINT II's are hard to find now, I think they stopped making them.??? They can be found for under $80 or lower. Great red-dot IMO, Dan
Oh, and both withstood repeated rounds of Win 3 1/2 turkey loads and Win 3 1/2 partition gold slugs!

I bought a bsa red dot for 20 bucks. Just to see if i liked this type of sight. I have loved it since mounting it to my 870 super mag.
