Here are a couple of feeders we have built...Notice the second pic...The feeder on the right is nowhere as hard to build as the others...It is best to find or build the sections that attache to the barrel...Then you can use any 2" or 3" pipe for legs...This will give you an idea...Oh yeah don't skimp on the spreader...I learned the hard way...These are not bought feeders...We realy built these...Notice the first is better than the second...It took several years to perfect...

One more thing...If you don't have the money...You can always turn it into a gravity feeder...Cut you a small round hole at the bottom of one side of barrel...About 2" hole will do...feel with corn...The problem with this is they will eat at will and it can get expensive if the turkeys find it...

thanks, I thought about the gravity design but my lease has about 376,922 turkeys on it and about that many squirrels and chipmunks. won't know the coon population til I get it set out but I'd say it will be high as well.

I made a gravity one like this. I used a barrel about your size and I put one of the little satalite dishs (were it is like a big chicken feeder) on the bottom and drilled hole where if any water got in it would drain. I also put a roof ontop of the barrel to help keep the water out. Seems to work pretty good for me.

Create an account with Photobucket.com or another web browser. On Photobucket, go to "My Albums." In the top right corner, under "Upload Images and Photos" is a tiny box that says,"Reduce to." Make sure you choose "640 x 480 (Large)." This makes sure the photos are not too big or small for the viewers.

You can then upload photos to the sight by clicking on "Choose Files." You can upload one at a time or multiples by highlighting your files with the "Ctrl" button on your keyboard.

When all your files are uploaded, put your cursor on the picture you want to display on tndeer. Four "links" will drop down under the photo. Click on the last link to the right of "IMG Code." That copies that photo. Now go to the thread on tndeer.com. Under the last post, right click your mouse and then click "Paste." You can then type in your comments above or below the link to your photo.

If you want to review your picture and comments before actually posting, click the "Preview Post" tab next to "Submit." Then press the "Submit" tab.
