I'm about ready to go catch a few. I normally just pull up amongst the crowd at the Duck River bend on the TN river but I had a guy show me a couple nice holes last year and we never had any company and wore 'em out. The big sow's should be gettin close to right if they aren't already.
Anybody tryin 'em out yet?

I'm ready to try them at Pickwick now that hunting is winding down. Hey username have you tried the fishing up around Perryville? We have had some luck in the past fishing the creek mouths there.

The river is a little high right now. If it would drop about 5 feet it should be on for sauger.
Oldhunter, I'm about 20 miles up river from Perryville. Alot of creek mount fishing for Sauger around here.

I haven't fished for sauger there but I've bass fished there a little. Most of my sauger fishing has been from the I40 bridge to the mouth of the Duck River.

where is the duck river bend? I usually put my boat in at Iron Bridge? And below the dam and float to chickasaw. I've never caught any sauger out there? Is the place your fishing near there? (username)

They are referring to the Duck River where it dumps into the Tn. river near New Johnsonville and Cuba Landing . You are about 100 river miles from there at Iron Bridge near Columbia .
