I wanted to get the boat out on the water because I haven't ran it for a few months , and headed to Laurel Hill lake . Boat ran great , love the 4 stroke Merc . Started right up . I caught a few bass on a jigging spoon , down around 25-30 ft. , nothing huge , but it was good to get out on the water again .

Wind isn't a problem on Tims Ford. The big smallies should be on.

With most of the land surrounding it being steep and high. The wind isn't usually a problem on most places on the lake. If you've never fished it you need to make a trip down and we will go. Mid Feb. and first of march is good to excellent for smallies. I can't promise you a alot of fish but, I was lucky enough to catch several over 5 lbs. last year.
