Does anyone have any recommendations and/or info about resorts, guides & outfitters for some trout fishing in Montana? My wife & I are wanting to take a trip out there. Our main goal is to have a quiet enjoyable vacation, quite a bit of sightseeing & I would like to be able to do some trout fishing. I usually don't fly fish, usually just spin fish. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

Madison River Fishing Company
Ask for Eric, and tell him a fly rod building, tall fellow from Knoxville sent you. Sorry, can't use my real name here. They are in Ennis, on the Madison River. Great guys and very knowledgable about the area. Unbelievable scenery and great fishing.

Any info would be great as I have not decided on a destination although as of right now I am leaning towards Glacier National Park. I would like to find an outfitter that will allow me to camp on back of their property somewhere for a couple of nights under that big Montana sky. A cup of coffee sitting around a fire in beautiful country is about as good as it gets for me.

Wes Mckay (guide at this shop) is a friend of mine. He has exceptional knowlege of the waters in this area. I am sure they can help you find exactly what you are looking for. Hamilton is about 2 hrs from Glacier.

Take a look at the MT regs. Access is unbelieveable out there. Especially if you have a small boat or canoe.
