I am just wondering what you all are pulling and it you change your draw weight during the season.

Personally I pull 67 pounds and it seems to work for me from September to January. Going to try Radar's trick of sitting on the floor and pulling back and see it I might need to back off a little. I like to leave my bow set up the same all year long.

I know a fella who has one bow set at 70 pounds for the early season and another set for 60 pounds for when its cold.

I draw a 60# Drenalin.
I like to shoot a lot,and have shoulder issues.

No doubt giving up some speed, but it doesn't seem to be a problem killing deer.
The Dren is not the fastest bow to begin with.
If you want speed, the X force and several others are faster.

I am set at 68lbs. max out on my BowTech

I shot/practice from various positions (sitting, standing, kneeling, bent aroung a tree, and actually from a practice stand in the back yard)

A little trick I do is take a bag of various sized plastic bottles up with me and randomly through them all over the back yard. Then shot at them............various sizes and yardages, help alot for judging yardages. Sometimes I use my rangefinder just to compare how close I am to guessing the distances.

Back when I used to shoot on the league team, I would just practice draw and hold to strengthen and keep the muscle memory in shape.

61# I may be switch to 70# limbs on my target bow. I think that would be good contitioning for hunting seein as how my hunting bow only has 60# limbs.

Well I don't feel as bad now for owning a 60 pound bow now \:\) Shot 70 for years for both target and hunting. 60 seems to be pretty good to me now.

I don't think I'd go the 70 pound route for target shooting. That is a lot of wasted energy for a foam target. But my arena has 280 speed limits so if I had target bow now days it would be a 50 pounder I think. I'm struggling to get this 60 pounder down under 280 with a target arrow.

Uncle Ted pulls somewhere between 50-60 if I'm not mistaken.
