Strut, is the Turkey priority points different from the deer? The reason I ask is, cause there isn't a cap on the priority points on deer hunts

Hunting guide page 24 explains the drawings and priority for each. There are currently 3 drawings, spring turkey, special season deer and turkey, and wma. They are each separate from each other. Spring turkey priority goes up to a max of 5 points. If I recall correctly, there are 33 applicants with 5 points going into the spring drawing. Don't know how they got 5 points without being drawn. There are over 11,000 with 1 point. I'd be one of those.

i know strut killed a turkey at oak Ridge but it is a tough hunt.There are not a lot of turkey killed on the hunts.I have hunted it a couple of times and have not heard a gobble yet.There are a lot of turkey there but they are not easy to kill.I have talked to way more people who don't like it than who do.i am not trying to talk people out of apply for it but don't excpect to hear turkey gobbling everywhere like I expected.

I applied last night, thanks for the reminder. I didnt get drawn for oak ridge last year so maybe this year.
