This is my first year with a camper at Normandy Lake and most of the people at the camp site jug fish for cats. I went to the camper earlier this week and did not see a boat on the water. How is the winter fishing on Normandy Lake?

I guess it would depend on if there were any water in it and how much..... I have never fished it personally, but with the drought the water level has been very low, maybe low enough to have higher concentrations of fish in the lower areas of the lake.

the water is way high right now on normandy. i was by there a couple days ago its just down the road from my house aways. in the past high waters in the winter time means tough fishing on that lake eventhough its been awhile since that lake has had high water. never fished for crappie there in winter, but in spring its as good as any place ive been, and the jug fishing in late summer is second to none. last summer we went juggin from sun down to sun rise catchin all kind of cats. biggest being 38lb.
