Creek mouths, gravel flats alongside the channel. Heck, I've caught them on mud flats in 4-6 feet of water in the middle of the day. So I guess they are just where you find them. I catch most by bouncing curlytail jigs on the bottom. Sometimes I tip them with a minnow. Sometimes I catch them on crankbaits.
