Your TN State Representative Willie Butch Borchert is no friend of true TN sportsmen.
Borchert has been a sponsor or co-sponsor of every anti-TWRA anti-sportfishing bill in the State House!
A few examples are;
---Borchert has been directly involved in attempts to abolish the TWRA
---Borchert fully supports commercial fishermen harvesting unlimited numbers of 34" and larger catfish from our waters. These large fish are not processed for food sales. They are sold to private out of state pay lakes.
---Borchert was part of a bill that would have taken TWRAs authority to set license fees.

Borchert is up for reelection (for a 4th term). I have talked to his opponent, Tim Wirgau on some of these very issues. Mr. Wirgau assured me that while he will listen to the sportsmen and landowners and help them with their concerns, he believes the experts should be managing our resources.
